But once it was setup only about 800 email's synced up. Since i can't setup an IMAP account (not yet available on this new version of Outlook) this is the closest i think i'll get. I chose the latter, thinking it would just be a straight connection to gmail and all of my emails would be there. I've setup one of my email accounts with about 4,000 emails and i have the option of using outlooks setup, where they sync everything to their Microsoft Cloud (seems very inefficient not to mention invasive), or i can choose, 'Sync directly with Google'. I have the 'new outlook' turned on, because the UI is actually not bad, but it seems like every time i setup outlook it doesn't like to purely sync with GMail and this time is no different.

I also have GSuite, so basically i'm combining Microsoft with Google on my Apple device. So i've i've been using a mac for about 10 years exclusively, but one thing i can't shake is my desire to use Outlook since it is the best client for my workflow.
